DU FLE

YOU ARE A STUDENT OR ALREADY A TEACHER OF FRENCH AS A FOREIGN LANGUAGE AND WOULD LIKE TO TRAIN FOR A RECOGNISED UNIVERSITY DEGREE?

The Alliances Françaises in India, in partnership with Le Mans University and the cultural service of the Embassy of France in India, offers you the opportunity to follow a quality training programme to develop your skills and prepare for the University Diploma in French as a Foreign Language examination. The diploma can be prepared at two centres in India: Alliance Française de Delhi and Alliances Françaises de Bombay.

WHO IS IT FOR?

Intended primarily for beginners or experienced teachers of French who do not have a FLE diploma in India, Nepal and Sri Lanka, this training course allows everyone to train without leaving their job and to improve their teaching techniques. This project is part of a quality approach initiated by the Fondation Alliance Française and the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs.

WHY?

The DU FLE allows to validate skills acquired in the field and to access the Master 1 and 2 of FLE, to ensure a future in the network of the Alliances Françaises and schools, institutes or universities teaching French, and provides opportunities in the professions of French as a Foreign Language in general.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE IN THE TRAINING OF THE FLE?

APPLICATION

Your application will consist of a CV (one page maximum), a cover letter explaining your interest in obtaining the diploma, a letter of recommendation from your employer and a copy of your Diploma of French Language Studies (minimum level B2 with a minimum average of 55/100).

Your file will be examined by the course managers. You will also have to make sure of your availability for the dates of the face-to-face training, as well as the regularity of your administrative conditions of stay in India during the complete period of training and evaluation if you are not an Indian national.

REGISTRATIONS AND FEES

If your application is successful, you will have to register with Le Mans University to obtain your French student card. The registration fee is 580 € per person. This fee covers the entire training programme and is to be paid by the candidate. The diploma is delivered by the French Ministry of National Education. Teachers working in the Alliances Françaises may benefit from a partial or total reimbursement of fees (to be discussed directly with your Alliance).

EVALUATION

As attendance is mandatory, any absence or nonsubmission of the requested assignments will imply the non-validation of the module(s) concerned. Following the deliberations of the jury in September 2020, admitted candidates will be notified of their examination results by post and e-mail.
